The 12th Istanbul Furniture Fair (ISMOB 2016) which is held with the guangzhou office furniture company collaboration between Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers (MOSDER) and TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. opened its doors at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center on Tuesday, January 12, with the participation of Mustafa Elitaş, Turkish Minister of Economy and Mehmet Büyükekşi, Head of Turkish Exporters Assembly.
‘Istanbul Furniture Fair’ ISMOB 2016 which is held for the 12th time with the collaboration between Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers (MOSDER) and TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. between 12-17 January 2016, opened its doors with the participation of Mustafa Elitaş, Turkish Minister of Economy. Istanbul Furniture Fair (ISMOB 2016), started with so much more enthusiasm this year thanks to the physical area advantage of its new address TÜYAP and the successful promotion activities.
TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Bülent Ünal who made negotiation desk the opening speech for the fair made these comments: “We made a long-term collaboration with MOSDER. We are carrying out the first fair of the new year. From China to Italy and Spain, Kenya to Nigeria, USA to India, buying committees from 37 countries will be attending to our fair hosting 250 leading furniture companies.”
MOSDER Chairman İsmail Doğan: “We want to achieve the 25% of the export goal (750 million dollars) that is approximately 3 billion dollars for 2016.”
Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers MOSDER Chairman İsmail Doğan, who talked after Ünal, said: “As MOSDER, we represent the 75 percent of the furniture industry. With this representation power, we organized ISMOB, which will be held for the 12th time, at its new address TÜYAP. With TÜYAP, foreign visitors make up the 30% of the approximately 100,000 participants attending our fair reception desk this year. We successfully increased the foreign attendance rate which was around 10% to approximately 30%. As a difference from the previous ones, this year in the fair there are brands that dominate 80% of the office furniture market. This companies became organized for the first time in ISMOB. We want to achieve the 25% of the 2016 export goal (750 million dollars) with ISMOB. With or export target of 10 billion dollars, we targeted as a part of the 2023 perspective, we plan to increase our share in the world’s furniture industry. While aiming to close 2015 with a target of 6.25 billion dollars for production, we believe that we will reach to 2.6 billion dollars for export.”
