Furniture Sales of Midwest America Compared to National Average – MIGE office furniture

Like last year, the Dakotas are fueling the Midwest region’s furniture guangzhou office furniture growth. Four additional Midwest states will grow furniture and bedding sales at faster rates than the country: Minnesota is expected to hit $2.3 billion over the next five years, a 21.7% growth rate; Wisconsin is expected to grow 21.3% from $2 billion in office sofa 2016 to 2.4 billion in 2021; and Illinois and Nebraska are both slated to grow furniture sales by 21.2% in five years. Illinois is expected to grow from $4.2 billion to $5.1 billion and Nebraska from $634.3 million to $768.8 million.

The two largest Midwestern states in terms of furniture sales are Illinois and Ohio. Retail sales in Illinois are forecasted to hit $5.1 billion by 2021, and Ohio will reach furniture and bedding sales of $4.7 billion. The metro of Dickinson, N.D., is predicted to be the fastest growing in the Midwest. Dickinson will increase furniture and mattress sales by an estimated 25.7% to $15 million in 2021. office chair Athens, Ohio and Garden City Kan. are tied for the second fastest-growing metro area in the Midwest; both are expected to grow 23.5% from 2016 to 2021.

 

The largest major metro in the region, Chicago, will see furniture sales increase 2 1.5% between 2016 and 2021 to $3.8 billion. Chicago is home to 9.6 million people and 3.5 million households with an average in come of $100406.
