Overview

Global law firm DLA Piper relocated from its 20-year-old premises to City Square House in Leeds. Designed by Meet&Co, the six-floor workplace renovation centers on sustainability and staff wellbeing. It consolidates multiple office sites and serves 650 employees as the firm’s modern, healthy and low-carbon new headquarters.

The Challenge

Dispersed original offices failed to support agile working and employee wellbeing. The project needed to integrate scattered teams, build premium client-facing and collaborative spaces, and deliver a full employee amenity floor. It also faced strict requirements to achieve dual BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications.

The Solution

The design delivers a hospitality-style client reception, flexible event and dining areas, and a dedicated amenity floor with an auditorium and 100-seat restaurant. Wellness rooms, terraces and neurodiverse-friendly workstations ensure inclusivity and comfort. Local recycled fabrics and reused facilities also are adopted to cut embodied carbon.

The Results

The new workplace upgrades brand image, client experience and staff wellbeing. Systematic circular design reduces carbon emissions and meets high-level green certification standards. It practises corporate sustainability, improves talent attraction, and shapes a forward-looking and professional workplace image for the law firm.
